What is bespoke?
Bespoke is achieved by the personal and intimate collaboration between NOL Jewellers and its clients. It is the fulfilment of a dream by the hands of a specialised team of jewellers. The end result is an everlasting, one-of-a-kind jewellery creation that reflects the client’s personality and desires.
An infinite amount of materials, shapes and colours are available to the client. Combined with a high level of craftsmanship and mastering of ancient jewellery techniques, there are no limits when making a vision come true.
The essence of a jeweller has faded in today’s fast-consumption world. A bespoke creation defines the original purpose of a jeweller and the dedication, time and availability required to offer such a service is what truly defines luxury jewellery.
Authentic jewellery is artwork, and artwork is achieved through a personal and emotional commitment to the craft, something much valued by the founders of NOL Jewellers.
Through emotion and purpose, Luísa and Nuno can relate at a personal level to each client and create a relationship that will outlive the jewellery itself.
No matter the special occasion that brings the client to the atelier, both designers put their heart and soul into the design, production and delivery of that particular bespoke jewellery piece.
Sharing a vision
The process begins with a private appointment with the jewellers. The main goal of this first meeting is to present the jewellery creation process, understand the client’s vision and exchange ideas. The designers often share a glimpse of NOL Jewellers’ precious stones and materials.
Designing the piece
During the appointment, the jewellers share a sketch of the jewellery design. Together, they define the next steps. An estimation of the timeframe and budget is also discussed. After the approval of the design, a down-payment will be required to confirm the order.
Production of the piece
Once the design is confirmed, the jewellers start the production process. All steps, from sketching to polishing, take place at the atelier. A combination of traditional techniques and state-of-the-art technology is used to deliver a beautiful final creation.
"The difference between buying a
mere object and a piece of jewellery, is the meaning behind its creation"
The production of the bespoke jewellery creation will take from 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the complexity of the design. Luísa and Nuno are available throughout the entire process, should any questions arise. Periodical updates are also sent during the creation process..
